S/SH Type Single Stage Double Suction Split Casing Pump

The SH pump is a single-stage, double-suction, split casing centrifugal pump. It is used for conveying clear water and liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to water. The head of this pump ranges from 9 to 140 meters, with a flow rate of 126 to 12500 cubic meters per hour. The maximum temperature of the liquid should not exceed 80 degrees Celsius. It is suitable for factories, mines, urban water supply, power plants, large-scale water conservancy projects, agricultural irrigation, drainage, etc. The 48SH-22 large pump can also be used as a circulating pump in thermal power plants.

Taking 10SH-13A as an example, its meaning is as follows:

10: The diameter of the suction port is a multiple of 25 millimeters, so the diameter of the suction port is 250 millimeters.
SH: Single-stage double-suction horizontal centrifugal water pump.
13: The specific speed is calculated by dividing 10 by 13, which means the specific speed of this pump is 130.
A: Indicates that the pump has been equipped with an impeller of different outer diameters.

The flow range of the S-type pump is wider, as in 500S35A:

500: The diameter of the pump suction port (in millimeters).
S: Single-stage double-suction, centrally split centrifugal water pump.
35: Design point head (in meters).
A: Indicates the impeller has been cut once.

SH pumps and S pumps are collectively referred to as double-suction pumps, and their performance and matching motors are generally the same. It should be noted that the rotation direction of the pumps is different. When viewed from the motor end, the SH pump rotates counterclockwise, while the S pump rotates clockwise. In practical applications, SH pumps are more widely used.
